There’s Always a Minute for What You Want
Hello Everyone,
Hope all of you areĀ having a great start to a new week, Marta and I are.
I’ve gotten several emails stating that people just don’t have time for “Romance” in their lives. My response to that is, anything worth doing or having takes time, work and energy.
One thing I do to release tension and stress, even if it’s just for a minute, is sit somewhere quiet, close my eyes and take a few deep breaths. Sometimes, I’m surprised at how quickly a minute can go by, and at the same time what an effect a minute of deep relaxation can have on me. After doing that it seems I think more clearly, and can make time for what I really want to achieve. It’s what’s happening at that moment that takes precedence in my life.
If spending valuable time with someone or doing something special is what you choose to do, enjoy as much of it as you can. Not making time, or thinking about stressful things while trying to enjoy something really can take away from the enjoyment that one could experience.
So, be kind to yourself, and remember that we are worth taking the time to enjoy something everyday. Take a moment to look at a sunrise, or a sunset, listen to a special song, and remember to make time for yourself and someone you love.
Remember to send us your emails about how you maintain your relationships. We love hearing from all of you.
We’re going to do another cooking segment real soon, that’s one of the ways Marta and I have fun together!
Hope you all have a great week!
Michael

Hi Michael, Thank you so much for touching on the subject of Romance…Not that I am surprised !! After all you are “The Voice of Romance”
You’re right, there are so many ways to keep romance alive.
What I have learnt is that actions speak louder than words…to do something special for your loved one means so more than the actual spoken word.
You and Marta must have a lovely week.

Hi Michael,
I did take a moment to close my eyes and take a few deep breaths and it is amazing just how calming it is. Life is so busy and you need to take time out like this. I find it better than group meditation. That never works for me at all.
Thanks for the advice!
Felicity.

Hi Felicity,
Glad to know that the relaxation technique that I wrote about helped you. Another tip is, now try to close your eyes and do the same thing for two or three minutes. Don’t open your eyes to check the time if you can help it, so maybe set an alarm for two or three minutes, and try not to fall asleep. You’ll see you’ll feel very relaxed. Again, glad you stopped by. Take care.
Michael
